Sarah Scheffler
Sarah is an assistant professor at Carnegie Mellon University at CyLab, the CMU Security & Privacy Institute. She is in the Department of Software and Societal Systems, and the Engineering and Public Policy Department. She is an applied cryptographer working at the intersection of cryptography, privacy, policy, and law. Her interdisciplinary work includes policy and technical analysis of end-to-end encryption, content moderation, compelled decryption, and privacy policies.

Elan Segarra
Elan (He/Him) is a Research Economist at the Bureau of Labor Statistics in the Compensation Research and Program Development Group. As a representative on the BLS Disclosure Review Board he provides guidance and oversight for agency wide disclosure policy. In addition to improving the use of statistical disclosure control methods across BLS data products Elan’s research interests include probabilistic record linkage, measurement error, and synthetic data generation.
